Fashion in Plays

In the world of literature, the number of plays made, classical or contemporary, is very numerous. During these plays, no matter classic or not, the costumes of the characters have always been so elaborate; the fairies have wings, Lords have crowns, and princesses always wear gowns. The designs of these costumes have always been so important to the writer of the story and even to the director of the play.

One of the reasons why this is so, is because, these costumes often determines who is male and who is female (during the old times, only men were allowed to act). Without gowns and crowns, and swords, the audience may not be able to appreciate and understand the play. Another reason to the elaborate fashion in these plays is that each costume should show the character of a person of a play; most of the times, the costumes of the characters show whether they are villains or heroes. Another thing that fashion serves in plays is the realization of the setting. If the setting is ancient Greece, then, the characters will clad themselves of ancient Greek fashion and move like ancient Greeks.

Every fashion sense in any play always adds certain spices that are unique.
